Translating
What does translating involve?
Translating is the written rendering of a text into one or more target languages.
Translating also means total competence in the languages involved, careful work, delivery on schedule and the ability to familiarise oneself quickly with totally new fields.
All translators working for DÜV translate solely into their native language.
Client contact
Another important precondition for a flawless job of translation is good cooperation with the client: Clients themselves can often be a valuable source of information for translators' research.
Contrary to the practice of many other agencies, DÜV makes it possible for there to be direct contact between our clients and our translators as the best means of clarifying questions of content and language. The whole administrative side of any job, such as scheduling and invoicing, however, is handled by the Agency.
State-of-the-art IT and telecommunications
It goes without saying that our translators work with the latest IT and telecommunications equipment. This includes computer-aided translation software, which ensures consistency in terminology over different texts and enhances the quality of the translations supplied.
